I hope your dogs are enjoying the snow as much a Mojo is. Dee Dee is actually going outside into the snow to sniff around but she's not showing the sheer joy of the season that Mojo is. We woke up Sunday morning and I looked outside to a backyard blanketed in snow. I felt like most parents must feel Christmas morning when their kids are about to discover that Santa had come during the night and left all of their favorite things! Mojo was up and jumping around as usual but I was practically sneaking around - putting on my shoes and in a hushed excited voice telling her she wasn't going to believe what was outside! First we had to be safe so I swept the snow off the stairs (Mojo doesn't like the broom so she waited inside) and then I let her outside into the snowy wonderland! I stood outside with my coat on over my pajamas and just laughed and laughed. She sniffed around and looked very curious. Then she did the same thing that she does on the beach! Digs a little, the snow moves so she digs more trying to get it and then she runs around all crazy! She must have gone outside to play in the yard 10 times that day. Surprisingly she liked staying out in the cold - I had to call her in everytime! This from the dog that will lay with her eyeballs inches from the space heater trying to get closer.

I wanted to send a brief note of thanks to everyone that donated food, treats and supplies for the pet food drive. The outpouring of support has been heartwarming. You guys have been so wonderful to help those in need this season. Our pick up will be sometime at the end of the week so if you still want to get something dropped off please brave the winter weather and come on down - as always we'll have a cup of coffee or tea waiting to warm you up!
