Volunteer

Having all pets that were either rescued or adopted from another home that needed help, it is gratifying to know that I could make a vital change in the future of a helpless animal that I don’t necessarily have to take home.

The Loves of My Life

I live with my wiggly Billy dog, two very entertaining cats - Keoke and Scooter Dude, a beautiful cornsnake named Primus and most high maintenance of all, my sweet boyfriend Jake.

Passion and Hobbies:

  • The great outdoors – Hiking with Billy (and others too), camping, fishing, snowboarding when we can
  • Gardening – Mostly in early spring through early fall. I love the smell of fresh picked tomatoes and basil!
  • Food – I love to experiment and cook different ethnicities of food. But mostly, I just LOVE to eat!
  • Exploring Portland and surrounding areas, including, but not limited to – restaurants, rivers, parks, the McMenamins, and the many street fairs, farmer’s markets and festivals.
  • Tap dancing – an old hobby for my happy feet that I hope to pick back up soon
  • Movies – It’s rare that I find a new movie that I really like, and since I choose not to have cable television, there’s nothing better than cozying up with a blanket, munchies and catching up on old classic movies.
  • Reading – usually can’t fall asleep without reading. Mostly non-fiction, and always playing catch up on National Geographics.
